intercom systems

An intercom system is a stand-alone voice/video communications system for use within a building or a large collection of buildings, functioning independently on a hard wired network, internet protocol (I.P) and global system for mobile communications(GSM). Intercoms are generally mounted permanently on the outside of the property likely near access point.

We have 3 types of intercom systems:
Analogue intercom system.
Analogue systems are basic point to point hard wiring; these intercom systems are available in audio and video but are basic systems and can be used for a simple 1 to 1 communication and also for a multiple points communications.

IP Network intercom system:
This system can be deployed into a client’s existing network infrastructure, this can result in a reduced deployment cost, and IP Intercom system can ads up hand held devices in a large building multiple and other systems like CCTV may be added on the same network infrastructure.

GSM Intercom systems:
GSM intercoms allows the use of your mobile device like cellphones to act as an intercom handset, the gate station will report directly to your mobile handset. This type of intercom system requires less wiring, and can add a lot number of uses on the system and can be controlled from anywhere in the world. These systems have an option of voice numbers and switch numbers.

Estates intercom systems:
These intercom systems are mainly used at:
Estates
Complexes
Flats
Business parks.
These types of intercom falls under the GSM family and communications between visitors and landlords, tenants, property occupants is done via mobile devices or cellphone. These system is standalone and it stores thousands of property occupants contact details in it. Access reports and billing information can be accessed remotely. Transmitters/remotes can also be programmed on to the intercom system and assigned ID numbers for control and monitoring. This can be useful at estates or complexes where large movement is expected.
